The rain has been unstoppable here in my area for the last couple of weeks. Sometimes it’s hard, other times it’s not but it never stopped.

It has always been difficult to deal with this kind of season each year. The laundry gets piled up every time while the ones that were washed have no chance of drying up at all. The cold air brought by the rain will let you do nothing but to simply eat and to laze around. Not to mention how it makes it so hard for the kids to go to school everyday while it rains. I have 4 nieces at kindergarten and elementary who goes to school everyday so I know.

Most of TV news headlines and reports yesterday were also about rain and its related issues. After having dinner last night, the rain somehow stopped and it was when vehicles passed by and we hear a small wave-like sound each time is when we realized that some water is already up on our street. We then checked our yards out and they were indeed flooded now too. Drainage was packed and the waterways around has overflowed.

Good thing the rain didn’t come back after it decided to stop early last night. It made me a bit sleepless because I didn’t want to wake up on a flooded room the following morning, LOL!

So this morning as early as 5:30 I rose from bed, opened my windows and was glad to see some hope of sunlight from the sky. The streets are now water free and the canal’s water lever already dropped down.

I still feel a little sick today but I really need to pay some bills out so that anticipated sunlight would really be a big help!

I get destructed way too easily and I’ve been ranting about it on different occasions over at my blogs and how I’ve tried not to allow any amount of emotional stress to get into my blogging routine but I guess as human as I am, I can only handle enough. I’ve realized that when I found myself one day letting the hours, days, weeks and even months to just pass. Thus, the long post gap.

But a true blogger at heart – that is probably how I am. If not, I wouldn’t have been sitting here trying to get back on track.

Another thing that motivates me even more to get the ball rolling again is that tiny green bar that reads: 1/10 at the sidebar. I don’t know exactly when Google updated its system but the fact that this blog was granted its first rank ever is already something to be glad about.

As bloggers we know very well the leverage of having a blog that’s ranked by Google, financial benefits wise. However I don’t want to focus on that part just yet. Not that I’d rather refuse opportunities but I really need to work on my traffic more importantly for now. Plus I feel the need to get a new theme. Wish I can get all these things done within the shortest time possible and before even Google will decide to get my blog’s rank back. Hopefully not!

Having a job has become my new priority these days especially after I put it aside for years over certain plans that didn’t really went well. Although I don’t want to let go but I also realize it is now time to just let things happen too as it comes instead of making my self believe for the impossible at the moment.

The transition of the new administration has just taken place and somehow we see some light from our new local leaders that we have today. With that my friend and I thought of trying our luck for a government position. It’s not my first time for the year. So I didn’t get lucky from my previous applications but I’m keeping my hopes high for my next attempts and the last I did was on Tuesday. Thankfully an interview was immediately granted to both of us on the following day.

I feel somewhat accomplished that day. For once in the longest time I’ve done something rational other than just sitting around all day if not wasting time on senseless matters.

It may take some time but I want to remain optimistic on the possible results for this attempt. I hope it’ll turn favorable for us this time.

Fresh from Camiguin Island, I’d like to welcome myself back! How is everyone doing? I have such a fantastic vacation, I can’t wait to share hundreds of panoramic and pictures of us that my camera took from our 5-day summer getaway. But that should take a little while because I’m dead tired (obviously) and all I can think of right now is just to throw myself to bed.

We left Benoni Port of Camiguin at nearly 5am this morning and made home at around 7 this evening. It would have been earlier if we didn’t take few stops along the way but we ought to because we need to eat and our drivers needed to relax a bit.

So anyway, I just signed in to check my mail that’s been piling up since we left. Unfortunately, internet cafes were not available in the place we went to and that I had to endure for 5 long days. Although I managed to enjoy the entire escapade even without the internet, -:D
I shall be back after taking the much needed rest. Goodnight, everyone!

We’re lucky we have families and relatives to visit in this beautiful place particularly in Catarman. Each year my mom’s family always makes it a point not to miss their annual fiesta celebration so they could also bond together with their relatives and teen hood friends back in the place. That’s how tight the bond of our clan is.

The trip back to the island is set next week. I’m really hoping to go with them this time. Think this is a much-needed vacation I should be getting after the saga of boredom I have been feeling lately. However, I doubt if I ever get to find means to cover myself for that 5-day trip. That I need to find out asap.
