A Tail of Good Health

It’s well known that furry friends provide health benefits to the elderly and people facing serious medical challenges. Now new research documents that pets can boost the well-being of the younger and healthy folks too – and not just dog owners, who may get more exercise. Studies at Miami University in Ohio found that in addition to being more fit pet owners had higher self-esteem and were less fearful and preoccupied – qualities linked to better health habits and a longer life; nor did them for the stereotype of the isolated cat lady or wacky dog mom.

“People close to their pets were also closer to their friends and relatives”, says lead researcher Allen R. McConnell, Ph.D. “Plus, they got the most benefit if they saw humanlike qualities in their pets”. So if your home is animal-free. Consider getting a cat toy, doggie dish or fishbowl (fur is not required). Then fetch your new family member- and stealth health aide.

I Got Eyes on Mulberry for Her

Shopping is every woman’s passion. Who doesn’t like to shop? My big sister and I do. We women don’t seem to run out of reasons to shop. Even when we feel too depressed to live life, hanging out with friends or going and doing shopping alone seems to be the best cure we can think of there is that’s left. In our favorite shopping mall for instance, there are too many delightful things around for our eyes to get busy with to even still notice how we feel… at least even for a while.

I feel that way too and do exactly the same thing sometimes. But in my case I don’t have to be away to get into my favorite online shops. And the best part is I don’t necessarily have to shop for myself and dispense cash out of my savings account. Whether I’m asked or not, I do online shopping for my sister who is so into designer items like clothes, shoes and bags. Recently, I invaded www.mulberrybagshandbagsoutletuk.co.uk for her. She’s been looking to get a new bag she can use at work and that site above seems perfect for that search. I just have to wait for her to drop by the house any time soon so she can see what I am looking into for her.

And She Made Us All Proud

Summer is when all the kids around our household do is play and always up your sleeve for something to eat… but not my niece, Jam who is advised by her pediatrician to control her food intake and if possible lose few pounds after she landed in an emergency room for hyperventilation few months ago. The condition stiffens her arm and leg muscles that disabled her to get on her feet and move around.

The Doctor found the condition rare at her very young age of seven and even if it’s caused mainly by excessive breathing, she still believed her size somehow contributed to it that’s why she advised the mom to be a little attentive to the girl’s diet.

What do children understand about weight loss? Absolutely none except that we had to tell her the same thing may happen again if she won’t try to cut or lessen the amount of her food intake. She definitely won’t like it.

It’s hard to explain the way we don’t appear like were scaring her and I understand it’s difficult for a child like her to go through such changes but we, her family do admire her cooperating and trying her best.

Not only that… her not so healthy meals (almost all processed meat) back then are mixed with fruits and vegetables now too – made us really proud!
