been a stressful week

I’ve been frequenting to the hospital these past two weeks. My sister suffered from HADD (hydroxyapatite deposition disease) – a disorder characterized by calcium deposit within the tendons of the rotator cuff. Given that situation, I had to accompany her all through out her visits to the hospital for check ups.

My tolerance when it comes to places like hospitals is really poor. I hate the ambiance and looking at different sick people makes me feel crazy too at times.

I must admit I felt really nervous looking at my sister’s condition at first. With her left arm frozen, her back all numb, I could have thought she is going disabled already. But I had to stay positive for her.

Thankfully, the laboratory test results requested to her turned out all normal and what she had to go through with her left arm is nothing serious and will heal in time.

At this moment, she’s already  in improved condition and is looking forward to go back to work again hopefully by Monday next week.

FYI: I’m joining a contest!:D

So this is IBT’s first time to enter an online contest. Thanks to Faye of Quicker8.com for courteously inviting me. It hasn’t been too long yet since I found Kaye in the blogosphere. Barely after we exchange each other’s blog links, I got this invitation she left from my other blog’s cbox. And who am I to refuse to such generous offer?

More so to these following awesome prizes that awaits the grand winners on the 18th of September. She’s giving away…

1st price – Ladies Chronograph (bic face) watch
2nd price – Kate Spade kikay kit (orange)
3rd price – Kate Spade kikay kit (floral)

I understand this contest is open to all interested entrants. So now that you see what’s in store for the participants, what are you waiting for? Fuel up your mind and start ticking that keyboard. The mechanics are really simple. Head on to Quicker8.com for more info! :D

it’s the 13th and it’s friday!

It’s Friday the 13th!

For some believers it
is considered the day of bad luck. The fear of Friday the 13th is called paraskavedekatriaphobia derived from the Greek words Paraskevi (meaning Friday), dekatreis (meaning thirteen), attached to phobia (meaning fear). The term is a specialized form of triskaidekaphobia, a simple phobia (fear) of the number thirteen.

History says, both the number thirteen and Friday have been considered unlucky. In numerology, the number 12 is considered the number of completeness, as relected in the twelve months of the year, twelve recognized signs of the zodiac, twelve apostles of Jesus and etc…whereas, the number 13 is considered irregular, transgressing the completeness. There is also superstition thought by some to derive from the last supper that having thirteen people seated at the table will result of the death of one of the diners.

Here are some of the compiled lists of the World’s Natural Events that falls on Fridays the 13th:

The Black Friday bushfires in Victoria, Australia occurred on Friday, January 13, 1939.

The Uruguayan Ruby team infamously crashed in the Andes mountain range on Friday, 13 October 1972.

Hurricane Charley made landfall near Port Charlotte, Florida on Friday, August 13, 2004.

The “Friday the 13th Storm” struck Buffalo, New York on October 13, 2006.

However for some reasons, to some the urban legend Friday the 13th is just as lucky as it is.

But whatever it is…  to me, everyday is a lucky day for as long as we breathe and live. What is bound to happen will happen no matter what!

love

LOVE…

We think about it, Sing about it, Dream about it and Loose sleep worrying about it.

When we don’t know we have it, we search for it. When we discover it, we don’t know what to do with it. When we have it, we fear loosing it.

It is the constant source of pleasure and pain. But we don’t know which it will be from one moment to the next.

It is a short word, easy to spell, difficult to define & IMPOSSIBLE to live without.

pretty little something

Found this cute little something from a novelty store today.
After paying bills, I thought I’d stop at the store to look for some knickknacks for my nieces and then I saw this pretty little thing. A sudden idea then says it could make a perfect holder/container for my pretty tiny stuffs  like card reader, memory cards, and a lighter which I always keep handy in case of power glitch, hair clips and even coins. I find it worth its price so I took one home.

I just bought my nieces something for their tummies instead :)
